Jayride is excited to welcome Ola Cabs to the Jayride team as our new transfer company partner. Door-to-door airport transfers as well as hotel transfers can now be booked at fixed prices in all major Australian cities and will soon be available in New Zealand, the UK and India.

Ola Cabs is an Indian ride-sharing company which was founded in December 2010 as an online cab aggregator. As of 2019, the company has expanded to a network of more than 15 lakh (1.5 million) drivers across 250 cities and was valued at about $6.5 billion in October 2019. In January 2018, Ola expanded internationally in Australia, and in New Zealand in September 2018. In March 2019, Ola began its UK operations introducing auto-rickshaws in the UK. In February 2020, Ola launched its taxi-hailing services with over 25,000 drivers registered.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, almost all facets of travel have shifted dramatically. Jayride and Ola Cabs, like many other ground transportation companies, have observed an increase in demand for safety measures.

Jayride and our global network of transfer companies have been working tirelessly and taking extra precautions to enhance the safety of our passengers as well as drivers while commuting, such as offering 100% contactless payment options, COVID-19 prepared rides and following the recommended health and safety measures.  In addition to this, Ola will bring with them safety features such as contact tracing and guardian (tracks and reports unusual vehicle behaviour), which will help boost our demand and supply.

Ola has been working rapidly to innovate their service offering in order to meet requirements of their customer and drivers, and have recently announced their new ride offering, Ola Pro. Ola Pro is their new super-sanitised car category, primarily useful for customers that are in the high-risk category.

Marius Danielsen, Jayride’s Head of Transport commented: “We are happy to have established this partnership with Ola Cabs and expand our global network of transfer companies as well as expand our ride-hail offerings in Australia, New Zealand, UK and India with reliable, safe and low-cost rides through Ola. In these challenging times, it is important for all companies in the ride service industry to come together and look at opportunities to create win-win scenarios and opportunities for growth. We are excited to connect Ola Cabs with our global network of partners and travellers.”

This news comes after Jayride announced a strategic partnership with ride-hailing firms Lyft, Cabify, Gett and Careem in February 2019, as part of expanding its offering globally.
